Hi, I am CJ Scharf, and this WEB site is the culmination of 30 years of commercial photo and hobby experience. I am fortunate to live in a mountainous region of the country where there are many photo opportunities. We also have traveled to various places and collected photos of many different subjects. I began shooting pictures with the typical 35mm SLR equipment, and expanded to include Medium format gear for use in wedding and portrait photography, etc. When the "Digital Revolution" came along, it was an easy transition as the various lenses and accessories acquired for film cameras over the years went with the new digital SLR equipment.

The computer programs that allow editing of photos and the constantly improving print technology has made the hobby much more interesting.

I absolutely love shooting pictures and am always looking for the "perfect picture" no matter what the subject is. Thank you for browsing.

I usually "tweak" my shots just a bit to bring out color and contrast and maybe erase some small defect. I can use several types of photo media for printing pictures: canvas, sand grain, treated nylon, metallic gold and silver paper etc. I do my own printing up to 13 x 19.
